New Year Green Juice Recipe
I know we all start the new year with resolutions and this year is no different for us here, in wanting to include more vegetables in our diet and especially the diet of the children. My old juicer gave up earlier last year after at least 7yrs of service. I have always preferred a masticating juicer so you can get the benefit from greens like kale, spinach and mint. Juicing is a great way to increase the natural vitamins and minerals we have in our diet in a easy way.
For Christmas I got a Aicock Slow Masticating Juicer from Amazon. So far so good and I love it!
To welcome in the New Year today we made our favourite Green Juice:

I always try and include ginger to my winter juices as its so warming to the system. Celery is excellent for the blood and supporting the kidneys, so a fantastic way to flush out the system if you have had a bit too much to drink this Christmas. We love this cold on ice. There are obvious benefits to drinking it straight away but you could save this for up to 12 hours due to the preservative effects of the lime, although it would lose some of its potency.
